Variable valve timing (VVT), electronic throttle control and direct injection technology are all part of the package. Precision-Engineered Transmissions The short-throw shifter for Solstice’s standard Aisin five-speed manual transmission delivers smooth, precise gear changes. Of course, there’s also an available electronically controlled five-speed automatic gearbox for those who prefer to let technology do their shifting for them.
